Indonesia launches e-Visa-on-Arrival for International Travellers

The Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights has officially launched an electronic entry visa application at the airport (e-VoA) on the website molina.imigrasi.go.id to facilitate international visitors.

 Indonesia launches e-Visa-on-Arrival for International Travellers

The General Department of Immigration has piloted the e-VoA application from November 4-9 for travelers entering Indonesia through the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport border gate on the outskirts of Jakarta, before deploying this service nationwide.

With the new system, foreign visitors only need to create an account and apply for a visa through the website [molina.imigrasi.go.id]. Furthermore, foreign visitors can instantly pay for services online by Visa, Mastercard, JCB credit or debit cards.

Once payment is made, your e-VoA application will be verified and processed by immigration officers.  If approved, the e-VoA document will be sent to the registrant's account on the [molina.imigrasi.go.id] website.  Visitors only need to download and present the e-VoA at the point of entry.

According to the Indonesian Immigration Department, the new service is already available to passport holders from 46 countries including Australia, Austria, Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt,  Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico and Morocco.

Moreover, passport holders from Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Korea, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Sweden  Switzerland, Timor Leste, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates (UAE), UK and US are also eligible to apply for e-VoA.
