Korean cosmetic company AmorePacific will introduce the Lip Factory system at its annual CES technology conference.  Lip Factory uses the Color Tailor application to determine which lipstick color is best suited to the client's skin, and then select a color out of more than 2,000 different tones and send the results to the lipstick machine.  The machine will mix and match the pigments on the spot to create the best color for the customer.

The invention won the CES Innovation award in the Health category, and is praised as "the world's first smart factory system capable of adjusting lip color as desired".

It is reported that a trial version of Lip Factory is being applied at AmorePacific's store in Seongsu neighborhood (Korea).  The company is aiming to improve this technology and expect it to create a fever at cosmetic stores around the world.

AmorePacific will introduce the 'Lip Factory by Color Tailor' online at digital CES event from Jan 11-14, 2021.  This is the second consecutive year the company has been awarded the Innovation Award.
